‘Blurred’

‘Blurred’ explores the suppression of creativity generated by outdated and conservative social constructs that condition the human psyche into our perspectives of rights and wrongs. The deconstruction of historical hybridity within traditional 1700’s female Equestrian dress, unified with soft tailored drape, challenge the idea of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ design. By exploring the blurred line between costume and fashion we evoke emotional turmoil within the audience, exposing the social constructs that suppress of individuality in modern society.
